SouthEast Asia Recap 2

After Singapore, we headed to Bali for a week.  We spent two days in three very different parts of the island.  First we were in Ubud, where we found it a bit most touristy than we like, but still nice.  Then it was on to Candidasa where we stayed at the Ashram Gandhi, which was quite and relaxing.  Finally we spent a few days soaking up the sun and walking along the beach in Sanur.  You will find some more detailed information and pictures here from our posts along the way, but here are some additional photos from our time there.

SouthEast Asia Recap.

Well, it's been a week since we left Vietnam and we've had little time to just "be."  It feels great to be home and we're excited about our upcoming move.  Because of all we have going on, I'm just now sitting down to look through our many photos.  Over the next few weeks I hope to recap our trip in a few installments.  Once I've gone through all the photos I'll add a slideshow to the blog...but there are just too many to sort through to do that just yet!

So, let's start.

We shared a bit about our time there here, but here are a few more pictures to add...

Singapore's many colors, day and night.

As said before, there are only two things to do in Singapore
"shop 'till you drop" OR "eat your heart out"
and eat we did.

a plethora of Indian food
a variety of satay on the street

and while we didn't partake, we could have had our very own
"cup of corn"

The Adventure Continues.

Two years.  It's been a wild and crazy ride, one that's taken us around the world and back.

What better way to celebrate than to start a new adventure, in Indiana...

In December we'll be moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana where Dan will be working as a recording studio engineer at Sweetwater.

So much to be thankful's good to be HOME!

Good to be home.

It's been 15 months since we've been on US soil, and being home feels great!  Today is the first day that either one of us has felt normal!  The past two days have been filled with little sleep and a lot of frustration.  Thank you jet-lag and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for all the headaches!! =)  We're finally caught up on sleep and can legally drive our car!

While we were running errands today we decided to take some photos in what is left of the fall colors.  We missed the best of it, but we aren't complaining, it's still beautiful.  The weather has been nice the past few days and we've been able to take some walks, though we get cold much faster!  And this is just the beginning!
Tomorrow we will head to Indiana to visit and celebrate Thanksgiving with my family.  We look forward to seeing friends and catching up with's been a while!!

Home at last!

We arrived home (Pennsylania) late last evening.  Today has been spent unpacking, doing laundry, and getting our cars up and running.  It's been a slow day as we are still pretty exhausted...Dan's napping as I write!  We have a busy schedule ahead as we plan to head to Indiana to visit family and friends on Sunday.  We're excited to be home and can't wait to see everyone and catch up.  Hopefully over the next week I'll get a chance to go through photos and update you on our travels...for now we're just soaking it all in and relaxing.  It's good to be home!
