"A portrait of my family, once a week, every week, in 2014"

Caleb Roscoe: No longer sleeping on his belly, you curl your hand under your cheek while you sleep, which makes you look more like a little boy than a baby!

2014 garden // early May

Lots of green and a few flowers in the garden.  Apples, raspberries, strawberries, onions, garlic, peas, asparagus, rhubarb, chives, cabbage, and broccoli.

Isn't spring wonderful!?!

{You can check out this year's seed starting adventure here.}

a mother's love.

This boy.

 Has stolen my heart!

A little less than a year ago, he made me a mama and I can't imagine loving any role more!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas out there!

first swim.

It was 87 degrees today!

So we busted out the swimming pool I bought on clearance last fall for a whole $2.50!!

Though Caleb wasn't too interested in "swimming" in the pool...the water was pretty cold...he did have a great time splashing in the water and crawling in and out of the pool!

We spent nearly two hours splashing and exploring the yard.

Our time outside would not have been complete without a little leaf eating and stick tug-o-war with Maggie!

Hope you enjoyed the lovely spring summer weather today!

a sunny Sunday afternoon

Dan worked on building our chicken coop, so Caleb and I played nearby.

We played with Maggie, checked on the chickens, collected tons of leaves, and picked loads of dandelions.

I can not express how much this boy LOVES being outside and exploring.
